At Building People we are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our clients and website visitors, at the same time as providing the best possible experience and service. This page explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you when you register with our products and services and whilst you visit our sites. This privacy policy applies to use of all Building People products, web and app services and websites.

Information we collect
Building People collects data to provide you with the best experiences with our products and communications.
You provide some of this data directly, such as when you register for information on the website, meet us at events, download an information resource, or when you become a user of our products and services.
We get some of it by recording how you interact with our website or our products, for example using technology that operates in the background, like cookies. We also obtain data from third parties, such as Google.
We do update this policy from time to time so please do review this policy regularly.

Building People uses the information that we collect to provide a better service to and to personalise your experience. In addition to this we may use the information for one or more of the following purposes:

- To provide information to you relating to our company or products that may be of interest to you. Such additional information will only be provided where you have consented to receive such information.
- If you have previously purchased goods or services from us, we may provide details of changes to those goods or services, or similar goods or services that enhance those you have already purchased.
We may combine personal information from our products and services with information from our website, or other methods of communication in order to provide a better service to you.
We use third parties to store and manage your and customers’ data for example CRM facilities, cloud services and data centres in the UK, South Africa and Luxembourg. These third parties do not have permission to access your data. They are simply providing secure data storage facilities.
How to access and control your personal data
We keep data for 6 years, as standard practice to comply with tax and legal obligations and requirements; after this time it will be deleted. You can always choose whether you wish to receive promotional emails, SMS messages, telephone calls and postal mail from Building People.
If you are a current client, then you can ask your controller for information held on our products. In most cases Building People does not have access.
